THE DREAM WEAVER

Is there anyone but me
That dares to raise their hand
When I ask my question
Directed now to man

Have you ever felt unloved
And have you felt let down
When you reached out helping hand
Were you shoved back with a frown

Can you relate to broken heart
And broken spirit too
Have you sometimes had to dream
For yearnings inside you

Life can become a script we read
Don't fail to read your line
Just force a story into place
Ad lib will waste world's time

Just say what listeners want to hear
They'll not read between the lines
Remember, all the world's in place
And evil's doing fine

But, No, said I, I shall not read
I'll follow not your script
I dream of a much higher plane
And I'm Spiritually equipped

I'll speak my dream of Truth and Love
Tho' the world with me shall strive
Old Satan roars in anger
For my dream, he can't deprive.

He has fought to hold Love from me
And my flesh did weep and grieve
But Someone Higher than all high
My Dream does slowly weave

As a child, I was a dreamer
So alone, God heard my prayers
When not one heard this small child's plea
God Listened! He was there.

Within my dreams the Weaver wove
Took serious small plea
He knew the world would let me down
So He drew close to me

He wove my threads of childhood
Wove strong adult threads too
He's still inside me weaving
Masterpiece is nearly through

With His threads of Love, came beauty
Hardship's threads brought strength and faith
Threads of teardrops kept heart soft
As white garment took its shape

And now my God speaks gently,
"Little children dream alone
But God draws nigh to tiny thoughts
Of the children left alone."

Within me is my Comfort
Saying, "Dream on child, dream on!
Dream Weaver weaves each thought and prayer
Until you're safe back home

Although the world has let you down
DREAM WEAVER'S here with you
I AM Dream Weaver, precious child
And I make OUR dreams come true

When your woven garment's finished
There's no dream then shall suffice
For your garment so unblemished
Weaver wove for PARADISE!"
