THE DREAM WEAVER
Is there anyone but meThat dares to raise their handWhen I ask my questionDirected now to man
Have you ever felt unlovedAnd have you felt let downWhen you reached out helping handWere you shoved back with a frown
Can you relate to broken heartAnd broken spirit tooHave you sometimes had to dreamFor yearnings inside you
Life can become a script we readDon't fail to read your lineJust force a story into placeAd lib will waste world's time
Just say what listeners want to hearThey'll not read between the linesRemember, all the world's in placeAnd evil's doing fine
But, No, said I, I shall not readI'll follow not your scriptI dream of a much higher planeAnd I'm Spiritually equipped
I'll speak my dream of Truth and LoveTho' the world with me shall striveOld Satan roars in angerFor my dream, he can't deprive.
He has fought to hold Love from meAnd my flesh did weep and grieveBut Someone Higher than all highMy Dream does slowly weave
As a child, I was a dreamerSo alone, God heard my prayersWhen not one heard this small child's pleaGod Listened! He was there.
Within my dreams the Weaver woveTook serious small pleaHe knew the world would let me downSo He drew close to me
He wove my threads of childhoodWove strong adult threads tooHe's still inside me weavingMasterpiece is nearly through
With His threads of Love, came beautyHardship's threads brought strength and faithThreads of teardrops kept heart softAs white garment took its shape
And now my God speaks gently,"Little children dream aloneBut God draws nigh to tiny thoughtsOf the children left alone."
Within me is my ComfortSaying, "Dream on child, dream on!Dream Weaver weaves each thought and prayerUntil you're safe back home
Although the world has let you downDREAM WEAVER'S here with youI AM Dream Weaver, precious childAnd I make OUR dreams come true
When your woven garment's finishedThere's no dream then shall sufficeFor your garment so unblemishedWeaver wove for PARADISE!"Mary Kiker
