THE WINDOW OF OUR SOUL

I look deeply into eyesTo see each soul insideThe eyes are windows of our soulAnd Truth, they will not hide

In some I see an egoEvil's vice of prideIn some, a humble spiritLed by a Holy Guide

Some eyes show pain of lonelinessFor lost love broke the heartA soul that has been left aloneYearns for a brand new start

Some eyes show joy of being lovedJoy bubbles from insideContented as a rippling streamNo breaking heart to hide

Old eyes show me wisdomFrom a soul so tried and trueThese eyes speak Truth, without a wordWith a glance at me and you

Some eyes reflect a wounded soulMistreated from their startResentment, hate and angerNeeding Love to heal their heart

Some eyes, deeper than a poolReflect heart touching GodA kind and kindred spiritAcceptance on earth's sod

As I look around me all aboutCompassion starts to growRecognition of my Spirit kinAnd my heart does love them so

So Father, let me rise aboveAll words and actions cruelFor evil tries to quench our loveBut Satan is a fool

Please help me love from deep in heartLet Your Love flow through me'Til Heaven, on the other sideWhen Love will then be free

And if I sometimes wonder, LordWhy life is not more kindLet me look in brother's eyesAnd my heart bypass mind

Some soul's trials, more difficultMaking life so hard and longBut we each must bear our given crossTo savor Heaven's song

Broken hearts and wounded soulsAre so easy to forgiveThe last someday shall be made firstAnd in harmony we'll live

No more crying, no more dieingThere'll be Peace and Joy and LoveWe'll join in perfect worshipPraising Father, Son, and Dove

For You are Love, my FatherIn Your Image, IWe shall understand it allWhen to the flesh, we die
