MIDNIGHT AUDIENCE
True Experience

My Spirit nudged my slumbering soul
And whispered in my mind
'Said, tiptoe into midnight air
And leave the flesh behind

So softly pushed I covers back
And stepped out in the night
I looked into the heavens
Where moon and stars shined bright

Then magnitude of Mighty Wind
Swept o'er me through and through
I basked in evening's splendor
As I blended with the dew

My Spirit stood before my God
Creator of it all
And when I realized with awe
On knees I then did fall

For moment I cried tears of joy
Then voice spoke in my ear
"Child, very soon I shall return
That time is drawing near

Reach out to all your brothers
Speak of Love so Dear
Tell them how My presence calms
And takes away all fear

Explain how I shall lift them up
If they will come to me
I'll take their prayers to Father
Who rules eternity

Life is but a vapor
Here today and then is gone
Eternity - Forever!
You can't conceive so long

The earth and worldly pleasures
Soon shall fade away
Then you shall stand before the King
What then, child, will you say?

Work out your own salvation
With trembling and with fear
Draw close to the Word my child
Then I shall draw so near

I'll walk you through green pastures
I'll gently show the way
I'll clear each path before you
Each debt you owe is paid

Each molecule and atom
I am part of, can't you see
That's why I can be here and there
And be right there with thee

I created everything
The masses and the plan
My Power can't be fathomed
By mere and mortal man

My ways are oh so far from yours
As East is from the West
In flesh there's no perfection
I only want your best

Reach out to your brothers
The ones who cannot see
Give to them of all the wealth
That you have learned in Me

One day we'll stand, child, Face to face
I'll reach and take your hand
We'll open books in heaven
Kept on each mortal man

Corruption shall be left behind
Immortal then you'll be
The blessings I've prepared for you
Will set your spirit free"

Then slowly I stood to my feet
To contemplate this thing
AN AUDIENCE WITH JESUS!
Our Savior and our King

And as I nestled back in bed
I lifted voice to God
Please help me comfort precious souls
As long as I'm on sod

If my life ends before You come
Let one stand in my place
With courage, love, and gentleness
To help some run the race

I then did drift in peaceful sleep
To places far beyond
And when I 'woke next morning
I felt a closer bond

I CHRONICLES 28:8

Now therefore in the sight of all Israel the congregation of the Lord,
and in the audience of our God,
keep and seek for all the commandments of the Lord your God:
that ye may possess this good land, and leave it for an inheritance
for your children after you for ever.
