IF WE MORTALS COULD BUT UNDERSTAND

.

If we mortals could but understand
Yea, no longer would we fret
No longer judge our brethren
For Jesus paid the debt

If we mortals could but understand
We were sent down from above
And in His Image were we made
We the children of Pure Love

If we mortals could but understand
God reads within our heart
It's not so much we're right or wrong
But from faith we shan't depart

If we mortals could but understand
We are all wrong and right
God's ways are much too high to know
We are all on earthly plight

If we mortals could but understand
All on this earth aren't God's
O'er earth, old Satan roars and stalks
And his demons on earth trod

If we mortals could but understand
We must rebuke all bad
Discern a pure or evil heart
Not follow world gone mad

If we mortals could but understand
God's children aren't the same
But if we love our brothers
To judge would give God blame

If we mortals could but understand
We must love from soul and mind
Come boldly to God's throne of grace
But be humble and be kind

If we mortals could but understand
The flesh one day will die
And only God will be the Judge
On that day, bye and bye

How can we sort out right from wrong
As we walk this earth as man?
Just let God's Love dwell in our heart
Love is wise and understands

If truly one is ignorant
Then he will not account
But when the Spirit reveals Truth
The sins do quickly mount

If we mortals could but understand
God delivers those He loves
Reserving those for punishment
That do not heed the Dove

If we mortals could but understand
We would never, ever, sway
He spared not His own dear Son
So we could know the way

Let us fill our hearts with purest Love
Love our God and fellow man
Keep our hearts and minds on Jesus...

AH...WE MORTALS UNDERSTAND!

II PETER
Chapter 2 Verse 9

The Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly out of temptations,
and to reserve the unjust unto the day of judgment to be punished...

ROMANS
Chapter 5 Verses 1-2 and 8-11 and Chapter 6 Verses 1-2

Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God

through our Lord Jesus Christ: By whom also we have access by faith into this grace
wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.

But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners,

Christ died for us. Much more then, being now justified by his blood,
we shall be saved from wrath through him. For if, when we were enemies,
we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled,
we shall be saved by his life. And not only so, but we also joy in God
through our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom we have now received the atonement.

What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound?

God forbid.
How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?
