IF WE MORTALS COULD BUT UNDERSTAND

If we mortals could but understandYea, no longer would we fretNo longer judge our brethrenFor Jesus paid the debt
If we mortals could but understandWe were sent down from aboveAnd in His Image were we madeWe the children of Pure Love
If we mortals could but understandGod reads within our heartIt's not so much we're right or wrongBut from faith we shan't depart
If we mortals could but understandWe are all wrong and rightGod's ways are much too high to knowWe are all on earthly plight
If we mortals could but understandAll on this earth aren't God'sO'er earth, old Satan roars and stalksAnd his demons on earth trod
If we mortals could but understandWe must rebuke all badDiscern a pure or evil heartNot follow world gone mad
If we mortals could but understandGod's children aren't the sameBut if we love our brothersTo judge would give God blame
If we mortals could but understandWe must love from soul and mindCome boldly to God's throne of graceBut be humble and be kind
If we mortals could but understandThe flesh one day will dieAnd only God will be the JudgeOn that day, bye and bye
How can we sort out right from wrongAs we walk this earth as man?Just let God's Love dwell in our heartLove is wise and understands
If truly one is ignorantThen he will not accountBut when the Spirit reveals TruthThe sins do quickly mount
If we mortals could but understandGod delivers those He lovesReserving those for punishmentThat do not heed the Dove
If we mortals could but understandWe would never, ever, swayHe spared not His own dear SonSo we could know the way
Let us fill our hearts with purest LoveLove our God and fellow manKeep our hearts and minds on Jesus...

Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God
through our Lord Jesus Christ: By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.
But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners,
Christ died for us. Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him. For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life. And not only so, but we also joy in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom we have now received the atonement.
What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound?
God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?
