JESUS LOVES THE LITTLE CHILDREN - ALL THE LITTLE CHILDREN OF THE WORLD!
OSO's JOURNEY INTO DREAMLAND![]()

. CHAPTER I
Before Oso's birth, there was a great fire, and Mama had escaped to the mountain's top for safety. She knew they must remain there now. She told Oso stories of their distant homeland and of animals he had never before seen. Oso longed to return.
"Mommy", said Oso, "I would like to have a rabbit friend with long soft ears and a wiggly nose. We'd hop and play and have such fun!"
"There are no rabbits on our mountaintop, Oso," replied Mama.
Oso frowned.
"Then Mommy, may I have a duck? I could touch his smooth orange beak. We'd waddle and quack and laugh."
"Son, ducks do not live on our mountaintop."
Oso lowered his head. He thought and he thought.
Finally he said, "Mama, if I cannot have a rabbit and I cannot have a duck, may I please have a tub filled with bubbles so I can play with a sailboat and pretend it sails through the ocean's foam?"
Mama lifted Oso and held him to her heart. "These things you yearn for do not exist on our mountaintop, my child."
Oso's eyes filled with tears, and with quivering voice, he yelled; "I do not like our mountaintop anymore! I will run away!" He pulled away from Mama and darted out into the chill of night.

As he lay there, cold and frightened and crying as if his heart would break, the cold wind began howling through the trees. Oso wiped the tears from his eyes and looked up into the dark and starless sky. Storm clouds were swirling! Suddenly, lightening flashed!
"BOOM!......." Deep thunder rumbled and seemed to shake the ground beneath him. Oso heard footsteps! His heart stood still. The footsteps rustled through fallen leaves in the darkness. Someone or some thing approached him. Oso had heard stories of Big Bad Bully Bear. Could this be Bully Bear, who was mean, and loved to frighten little children? Oso was afraid to move. He closed his eyes, and held his breath! "Oso! Oso! Where are you, my son!" Mama's voice called out from the darkness. "Oh, Mommy, Mommy! I am here. I am here, Mommy!" Oso wept, and tears ran down both cheeks. Mama hurriedly approached. She took Oso in her arms and held him close to her heart as she rushed him home to safety. ~
"You are safe, and all is well my dear one. You must never run away again, my child. I love you and protect you. There now. There now." After a warm meal, Mama cuddled little Oso and began humming his very favorite rock-a-bye tune. The little bear thought Mama's voice was soft as the breeze and pleasant as the fragrance of flowers on a spring morning. Oso's eyelids grew heavy and he yawned. "Mama, I must learn to dream. If I could dream, I would dream of playmates and fun, and I would not be so lonely." Mama was silent for a moment, and then she spoke. "Oso, you can dream! A dream is a wish from inside your heart. Just close your' eyes now and wish from your heart." Oso closed his eyes so tight it wrinkled his nose! Then he whispered. "Mommy, I see a rabbit! He has long soft ears and he says, "Come play with me!" "Go play, my son." Under his eyelids something wonderful happened! Oso 'touched' the rabbit's ears! The rabbit wiggled his nose, and so did Oso. They giggled. A little bird landed on Oso's shoulder and began to sing. And then! "Mommy! Now I see a little duck! He calls rabbit and bird and me to come play with him!" Mama smiled. Go play, my son. Go play." Oso and little duck and the singing bird, and the long earred rabbit waddled and chirped and quacked and hopped and wiggled their noses. They laughed and laughed! Then, Oso became silent. Oso's voice quivered. "Mommy, there is a window under my eyelids, and it beckons me in. I hear laughter and singing!" Mama spoke so very softly. "You see the window to Dreamland, my son. Go and play." ~
He saw a long legged bird and a little worm playing. The eager little worm was diving from the bird's beak, into a tub of foaming bubbles. Oso blinked his eyes. Drifting on the sea of foaming bubbles, was a magnificent sailboat! Oso joined in the fun with his new friends. They laughed and laughed as they played. They sang and splashed in the waters as they sailed boats on make-believe waves of foam. Oso played until he was exhausted. He then waved "goodbye" as he climbed back out the window of Dreamland. "Goodbye, my friends!" His friends waved. "Goodbye! Remember now, we are only a dream away! Come back soon!" Oso opened his eyes. Mama was smiling. "Did you enjoy your' journey into Dreamland, my son?" "Oh yes, Mama! Oh Yes! May I go again some day?" "Yes, my darling. The window to Dreamland will remain open for you now. Dream on, Little Oso, dream on." Oso was tired, and he yawned as Mama tucked him snuggly into his bed. She kissed his brow and whispered softly. "Never limit your' dreams, my son. Someone much Greater than you and than I can make our dreams come true. Just 'believe', for all things are possible for those that believe. As you grow, my son, so will your' dreams." As Oso closed his little eyes and drifted into peaceful slumber, a GREAT VOICE inside his heart whispered,

"There now, Oso", Mama comforted as she held her son close and kissed his tears away.

The duck suddenly began flapping his wings and zoomed through the window like a streak of light! Little bird chirped, and went sailing through the air and through the window. Rabbit's soft ears stood straight up, as he bolted through the window with one giant hop! As his heart pounded, Oso slowly and awkwardly climbed up and gazed through the window into Dreamland. Quick as a wink, he found himself in the middle of his PERFECT DREAM!
