THIS SPACE IN TIME

Your Comfortor Has Come!

Lord, I do not understand
This space in time, called Life
Can't comprehend this broken heart
So weary, Lord, with strife

I look around me, all about
And search beyond the smiles
Some souls have found contentment
Some souls face constant trials

My flesh cries, "Do You love them more?
Much more than You love me?
Do You overlook their faults
Yet all my faults do see?

Flesh is sinful, this we know
But, God, I try my best
I find I'm not like others
For in solitude, I'm blessed

My Jesus surely intercedes
Must surely plead my cause
When life becomes too hard to bear
From pain then, we must pause

You dwell in me, therefore You know
There's nothing I can hide
You've seen my tears and heard my pleas
If in me, You abide

You've commissioned me, dear Lord
To Comfort...near and far
This Comfort now flows 'round the earth
To those in Peace and war

It seems the ones that love me most
Are those my Words do touch
And so I write, and so I speak
My words revealing Much

You spoke that You'd conform me
Into Your Image, God
Does that mean in my flesh, I die?
Beneath sin's hateful rod?

So many, many questions
Yes, life's a Mystery
Sometimes I feel I can't go on
Then, you draw nigh to me

I surely do not understand
My soul cries in disdain
But wait! What's this you're saying?

HEBREWS 4:15,16

For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched
with the feeling of our imfirmities; but was in all points
tempted like as we are; yet without sin. Let us therefore come boldly
unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy,
and find grace to help in time of need.
