JESUS WEPT!

Painting By Erik Hollander
John 11:35
Last night upon my pillow
My mind pondered as I slept
To me was opened visions
And I agonized and wept

In distance I heard crying
I heard soft and tiny moans
I saw battered precious little ones
In darkness...so alone

Their little hearts called out for Love

They did not understand
So small and helpless - these sweet ones
They reached out for my hand

I reached - but could not touch them
How I struggled to draw near
To take these babies in my arms
And soothe away all fear

But evil placed a veil between
These little ones and me
Deceiver, liar, murderer
He would not set them free

He murdered in the Mother's womb
And said, "It is alright"
'Spoke harshest words - struck maiming blows
Worked evil in the night

But God in Heaven beamed His Light
On His Word and showed me
"If any harm these little ones
They best be cast in sea"

Only God in Heaven
Can put evil on the run
Therefore we must call out to Him
Through Jesus - Precious Son

And so I now ask Father
To draw me to a need
To give me power and wisdom
So I can intercede

If we as Christians will agree
As touching the solution
God through us can work His will
Upon this great polution

We must stand up for battered child
Must not close our eyes
Must pray and learn legalities
Be gentle, kind - but wise

Precious children - just know this
Tho I can't touch you all
The body of Christ loves you so
And at such - we're appalled

Perhaps if our hearts hold you close
And prayers comfort in the night
You'll feel our heartfelt Love, dear babes
And it shall ease your fright

Abusers! Ask for Mercy!
Tho there are reasons hearts grow cold
You must bow and ask forgiveness
And make Heaven your' life's goal

Jesus said, "Let little ones come boldly unto Me
And if you harm My little ones, best you be cast in sea"
God loves the little children, and in His heart they're kept
You'll tremble at your' fate one day, if for your evil,

JESUS WEPT!

Matthew 18: 6,7

But whoso shall offend one of these little ones which believe
in me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck
and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea. Woe unto the world because of offences!
for it must needs be that offences come; but woe to that man by whom the offence cometh!
